Community Meeting

Ballentine Pointe will be having a Community Meeting at The Events Place in Hiram, GA on February 5, 2024 at 7:30 PM.
This will also serve as our Annual Meeting for Owners. The bylaws do require that be in-person or that you have a proxy designated that can attend in-person.
We are also collecting questions and concerns online that people want addressed ahead of time online: Februrary 2024 Meeting Form (google.com)

Trunk or Treat Volunteers

Some residents have inquired about bringing back the Trunk or Treats before the regular trick or treating on Halloween. If interested, please reach out via the Contact Us page.

2023 Dues

Ballentine Pointe will not be changing the dues amount or the payment schedule in 2023. You might notice in the CMA portal that it still shows the full annual amount will be due in January 2023, however, CMA is addressing this and will have the correct payment schedule reflected soon.

New Management Company Effective November 1st

Starting November 1, 2022, CMA Communities will be taking over management of our community from Homeside Properties, Inc. You will receive a welcome packet in the mail with the information you need to pay your dues going forward.

Replacement Entrance Signs

We will be removing the existing entrance signs starting today in preparation for getting our new entrance signs up.

Architectural Guideline Changes

The HOA Board approved a change to the Architectural Guidelines for Doors which will give the ACC (currently represented by the Board of Directors) more flexibility in approving ACC requests

  1. We now permit changing the door with a different design
  2. Door repainting rules have been clarified and codified.
All changes still require a full ACC application to be submitted. We launched a new page to share the current approved guidelines. It\'s available here and via the Resident Area link above. We also want to launch a review process of all of the Guidelines to modernize them. If you wish to participate, please reach out to us via the Contact Form.

Pool Status Update!

Great News! Our pool will re-open on Friday, June 25th at 9 am and we will continue with regular operating hours of 9 am to 7 pm for now. However, there have been some changes in pool access and age restrictions. Due to the recent issues we have had since the pool has opened on May 8th, the Board has changed pool access and also age restrictions. Effective with the re-opening on Friday, June 25th, here are the changes: 1. Age Restrictions: Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at least 25 years of age or older at all times while at the pool. (Board members, pool contractor employees, and pool committee members reserve the right to refuse admission or ask anyone to leave if they deem that they are not abiding by this rule.) 2. Pool Access: Guest passes have been removed from access, residents who have already sent guest passes from their mobile credentials, will have to have a board member add guests via a mobile device. There will only be a maximum of 4 mobile devices activated including that of the main resident on file with Homeside Properties as of June 1st. Our policy has not changed with regards to this access- kids under the age of 14 do not have to have mobile device access as long as they are accompanied at all times by a resident/adult over 25 years old. Our most recent issues at the pool made us realize that there needed to be a change in the age limits to minimize the situations where there is no adult supervision while young kids are present. As well as to reduce the number of non-residents in the pool without a resident present at all times.

Temporary Pool Closure

Ballentine Pointe HOA will be closing the pool starting TODAY temporarily in order to perform some required repairs to both pool pumps. We will reopen the pool as soon as the repairs are completed. This will take a few days due to part and labor availability. The pool will be closed throughout the weekend, but we hope to reopen it next week mid-week if repairs can be completed on time.
Note: the immediate closure was caused by teenagers discharging a fire extinguisher into the pool, which caused a problem with the filters which led to a pipe breaking.
Know where your kids are and be responsible. We would prefer not to have to require adult supervision 100% of the time, but this is not the first occurrence this year of issues at the pool caused by children\'s actions.
